Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Providing technical support for AWS Developer and Mobile Services customers. This role has grown my hands-on cloud expertise across messaging, AI, and integration services while keeping me close to real customer problems every day.

  • Primary technical resource for Amazon Connect, including AI Agents, Lex, and Lambda integrations, helping customers get the most out of the platform.
  • Built strong knowledge of Amazon Connect AI Agents and AI tools. Delivered internal trainings on AI Agents and helped engineers prepare for the AWS AI Fundamentals certification exam.
  • Built a log analysis tool using Kiro AI IDE that lets Connect support engineers visualize and pull meaningful data from AI Agent logs, WebRTC logs, PCAP captures, call recordings, and other file types. This tool is now used across the team.
  • Support cloud messaging and event-driven services: SNS, SQS, End User Messaging, Amazon MQ, and IoT.
  • Provide guidance across S3, IAM, KMS, Kinesis, Bedrock, and EventBridge.
  • Work with teams across the organization to resolve complex customer issues and feed observations back to service teams.
  • Began mentoring junior engineers and peers, both formally and informally, before becoming fully tenured.
  • Joined the quality team within a month. Selected for GEMBA, serving as the voice of the engineers with the management team.

Cloud Resume Challenge

The Cloud Resume Challenge is a hands-on project that touches a wide range of AWS services. The idea is simply to build a resume in the cloud. The implementation covers real-world architecture patterns.

  • Built an HTML/CSS site hosted in S3 with CloudFront and Certificate Manager for HTTPS.
  • Wrote a Python Lambda function connected to DynamoDB through API Gateway.
  • Automated the whole infrastructure with Terraform.

Principal Consultant

SAP NS2, Herndon, VA

Served as the go-to technical advisor for a mission-critical mobile application supporting 2,000+ remote FDA investigators working in occasionally connected environments. This was a small, self-directed team where I wore many hats: developer, SME, project manager, and customer liaison.

  • Took SAP Afaria solutions from initial technical qualification through proof-of-concept, deployment, and long-term optimization, owning the full lifecycle.
  • Co-developed automated processes in PowerShell that pulled data from Oracle to configure user-specific settings in SQL Anywhere remote databases.
  • Solved data security challenges around FIPS 140-2 encryption and HSPD-12 requirements using containerization and PIV card readers.
  • Wrote the yearly RFP responses that won 11 consecutive contract renewals. That meant understanding the competitive landscape and clearly articulating our technical value.
  • Built and maintained relationships across help desk, networking, and SCCM teams to keep communication transparent and issues moving toward resolution.
  • Documented troubleshooting processes and trained Tier 1-3 support staff. Served as the escalation point when things got complicated.
  • Managed server migrations across multiple environments (v6.0 to v7.0), OS upgrades, and database changes without disruption.
  • Designed a regression testing setup that let QA work with 5 different application versions at the same time.
  • Created monitoring and forced-upgrade processes so field investigators always had a current, supported version.
  • Achieved and maintained Secret and Public Trust clearances (currently not active).

Senior Consultant

Served as technical consultant around the design and implementation of mobile solutions.

  • Inherited the Census Bureau's SAP Afaria deployment with just two weeks of transition. Maintained 100% uptime and 100% data retrieval during a critical collection period with 6,000+ clients.
  • Taught myself HTML5 and VBScript in a month to build a CAC-enabled web-based time entry program for SAP ERP. The US Navy funded the project.
  • Built a proof-of-concept showing secure integration of SAP Agentry with SAP Afaria. The resulting mobile solution was approved for use in the intelligence community.
  • Recovered a locked SAP Afaria environment for Lawrence Livermore Labs after their admin passed away. Completed the work remotely, after hours, and under budget.

Technical Sales Consultant (Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer)

Technical pre-sales resource for channel sales of a document imaging solution. I handled everything from trade show demos to building custom integrations for strategic accounts. The role mixed technical and sales work. It was important to understand what customers actually needed to deliver appropriate solutions.

  • Ran consultative discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, then built tailored demos around their specific use cases.
  • Helped Regional Sales Managers hit 100% of quota every year I was there.
  • Played a key role growing the new Toshiba sales channel to $2M in revenue by year two, covering both the technical and sales side for 66% of the continental US.
  • Wrote custom integrations in VBScript and C++. My email simulation connector became the standard tool used by technical partners across the country.
  • Presented at trade shows and delivered custom software solutions for large enterprise prospects.
